Dr. P. Nourparvar is one of the few doctors in USA offering the newest technology in Adult Circumcision. We offer more than four techniques not offered in other surgery centers. These new FDA approved techniques have many advantages including faster operation time, faster recovery, better cosmetic outcomes. Few surgeons in America are trained in these techniques and its mostly offered in Europe. Dr. Nourparvar is one of the few doctors in America currently offering these techniques.
Sutureless Circumcision has much better cosmetic appearance with less pain post-operatively. Return to work is much quicker and this option is recommended for those patients who want to have minimal time off work, those who are anxious about post-operative pain or those individuals who wish to have a minimally visible scar line after healing. This technology uses skin binders in place of multiple sutures that often leave ugly track scar marks. Please note that even absorbable fine sutures can leave track marks. We use fine suture as back up.
We don’t use sutures like the picture above.

Dr. P. Nourparvar is one of the few doctors in USA offering the new technology of Ultrasound Guided Precision pain Injection in all ages for Circumcision. The most important benefit of ultrasound-guided injections is accuracy. With traditional “blind” injections, the doctor feels the injection area for certain muscles, bones, and tendons, and estimates where to place the injection; this can result in a high failure rate. Improperly placed injections are less likely to be helpful, and because the area that needs to be reached by the injection often measures just millimeters in size, it can be difficult to achieve proper placement with a blind approach. Ultrasound guidance can help minimize these complications. Ultrasound guidance allows the doctor to see under the skin before the Adult & Teen Circumcision. The needle can also be seen on the ultrasound screen as it goes into the skin. Because the doctor can see exactly where he is placing the injection, the procedure is quick, and often less painful than a blind injection. There is also a lesser likelihood of complications, like nerve damage, from accidental injection into a nerve.
Two cuts are made side by side in the shape of a ring on the shaft of the penis or distally. The skin between the cuts are removed and the two edges are sewn together. Stitches used will absorb into the skin, so removal is not necessary. The procedure takes approximately 30-60 minutes and healing time is 3 weeks.
The World Health Organization describes it as having “an impeccable safety record.” After retracting the foreskin, the Gomco bell is placed over the glans at the level of the corona, above or below and the foreskin is replaced into the proper position. The yoke is then placed over the bell, trapping the foreskin between the bell and the yoke. The clamp is tightened, crushing the foreskin between the bell and the base plate, and left in place. The crushed blood vessels provide hemostasis. The flared bottom of the bell fits tightly against the hole of the base plate, so the foreskin may be cut away with a scalpel from above the base plate with no risk of injuring the glans. Because the glans is protected by the bell of the Gomco clamp, injuries to the glans are rare. No parts are left on the penis, so late complications are rare compared to devices like the Plastibell which remain on the penis. The procedure takes approximately 15-30 minutes and healing time is 1-3 weeks.
The foreskin is first extended using several straight hemostats. The Mogen clamp is then slid over the foreskin. The clamp is locked, and a scalpel is used to cut the skin from the flat (upper) side of the clamp. The Mogen results in a bloodless circumcision with minimal scarring. The procedure takes approximately 10-30 minutes and healing time is 1-2 weeks.
One of the many Adult & Teen Circumcision techniques offered by Dr. Nourparvar in Los Angles is the Shang Ring. Compared with the conventional surgical procedures, the Shang Ring circumcision has the advantages of shorter operation time, less blood loss, mild pain, fewer complications, better penile appearance, lower expenses, and higher satisfaction and acceptance of the patients. The Bill Gates Foundation has invested millions of dolor in this new technology. The Shang Ring is a disposable plastic “in situ” device for male circumcision. The Shang Ring consists of two concentric medical grade plastic rings: an inner ring with a silicone band and an outer, hinged ring that acts as a ligature. The appropriate size is determined through use of a measuring strip. The outer ring fits is placed outside of the foreskin and locks against the inner ring when snapped together; the distal foreskin is then excised. The Shang Ring is removed after one week when the outer ring locking mechanism is opened using a special tool. A pair of scissors, specifically designed for this purpose, is then used to remove the inner ring. Shang Ring is simple, disposable, easy to use, and has good cosmetic results, providing sutureless circumcision that is an alternative to current surgical techniques.
Other considerations — The prepuce contains specialized sensory tissue that is certainly removed during circumcision. Some men assume that the end of the penis becomes less sensitive when the foreskin is removed and that sexual sensation can be decreased. However, most circumcised males do not necessarily describe psychological trauma or reduced sexual function or desire due to the procedure.
